FTOPS VI Preview

Full Tilt Poker is kicking off the holiday season with a big gift to online poker players - the 6th installment of the Full Tilt Online Poker Series! FTOPS VI Starts on Wednesday, November 7th, and features 16 events with more than $9 million in guaranteed prize money across all the games that Full Tilt features!

Like previous FTOPS events, Full Tilt Poker provides events for every player, from the $216 6-Max No Limit Hold Em Event #1 to the $109 Stud Hi/Lo Event #6. Each event is hosted by a member of Team Full Tilt, and there are some new Full Tilt pros this time around, including Jon ‘Pearljammer' Turner and Jared ‘TheWacoKidd' Hamby , two of the biggest names in the online poker tournament world.

There are several returning elements from past FTOPS events that are sure to prove popular with players, including wide game selection, a ton of satellites into every tournament, and the $2,500 entry two-day Event #13. This event, which is hosted by John Juanda and has a guaranteed prize pool of $1.5 Million, will start at 3PM EST on Saturday, November 17th, and the final 18 players will pause playing after a certain time and reconvene at 3PM EST on Sunday, November 16th. This event is the only planned multi-day event in internet poker! There's also the $535 Main Event on Sunday, November 18th, which features a staggering $2 Million prize pool!

Full Tilt Poker has a history of adding new features to every FTOPS, and Edition #6 is no different. This time out, the folks at Full Tilt have added the Satellite Challenge, where you can win multiple seats into FTOPS events, and get cash for all the extra seats you win! No, ZeeJustin, you cannot simply USE all the seats you win! The "challenge" part comes into play when all the satellites for each event are finished, and the player who wins more seats than anyone else receives cash in their account equivalent to two additional entries into the event! And it's not just for the challenge winner - the second-place satellite winner gets the cash equivalent of one entry into the event!

Another new feature of FTOPS VI is the Knockout Tournament - where players get paid bounties for taking out other players! The new knockout tournaments at Full Tilt split the prize pool between the winners, but a portion of each entry fee is reserved for a knockout bounty, that is paid whenever a player is eliminated. In this style of tournament, it's possible to miss the money bubble and STILL make a profit on the tournament! Erik Seidel hosts Event #15, the $163 No Limit Hold Em Knockout Tourney on Sunday, November 18th.

As always, there are bonus prizes on top of the hefty cash prizes for each tournament. Every player who makes the money in an FTOPS tournament will receive a FTOPS baseball cap. Players who make the final table in an FTOPS event get a cap and a limited-edition FTOPS jacket, and the winners of each event get not only the cap and jacket, but also receive a gold FTOPS jersey and a gold jersey avatar to use when they play on Full Tilt Poker!

But, unfortunately, not everyone can win a tournament. Frankly, sometimes you're going to be the bubble boy. And while that's never any fun, Full Tilt has added a special Freeroll tournament for all the bubble players beginning with the FTOPS VI tournaments. The last player eliminated before the money in an FTOPS event earns a seat into their special "Bouncebackability" Freeroll, which takes place on November 25th and will award a seat into the Main Event of FTOPS VII to the lucky winner! So you can even get something for losing in FTOPS VI.

The FTOPS tournaments all have great guaranteed prize pools, and a long history of exceeding the guarantees, so download Full Tilt Poker and start playing those satellites today, and you could walk away with a gold jersey and a pile of cash at the end of the series!
