Bodog Deals One Billionth Hand

After anticipating the moment for weeks, Bodog finally announced that the one billionth hand of poker was dealt on its website. As part of the historic milestone, the nine players at the table at which it occurred shared the $10,000 bonus.

At 9:36pm on November 25th, there were nine players at a $8.80 buy-in beginner sit-n-go table, and the one billionth hand was dealt. Each of the players was notified that they would evenly split the $10,000 prize money, and each was given $109 in Bodog tournament credits. The winning players were “bbink” of Tennessee, “mthomas29” of Maine, “AlexisNicole” of Kentucky, “jankow” of New Hampshire, “Lroy5303” of Georgia, “salmon slayer” of Oregon, “Wantagolf” of California, “pikachu420” of Hawaii, and “Dodger Blue 007” of Las Vegas, Nevada.

Calvin Ayre, Bodog founder, noted on his blog, “This is a great landmark for us at Bodog. Congratulations to the winners and a huge thank you to all the people who work so hard to make Bodog the best poker room there is.”

To date, Bodog Poker has awarded $40,000 to 260 players since the 980,000,000 hand was played on November 4th. The players dealt each five millionth hand during that time was awarded $109 in tournament chips, and each person who has won anything during the current promotion, including those involved in the billionth hand, will be eligible for the grand prize drawing. In addition, every player to earn 100 Bodog points will be given an entry into the drawing. That grand prize winner will be paid $12,000 in the form of $1,000 per month for an entire year.
