Minnesota may be cold this time of year, but the poker action was hot really hot recently. The Jackpot Junction Casino was the hot spot location for a No Limit Hold’em Tournament that was hosted by The Bar Poker League.
The event was a big success, with a seat to a WPT satellite awarded to the winner; over 600 players went to war. The tournament kicked off Friday night with a team event, followed by the main event on Saturday.
The Bar Poker League also has a point system for frequent players, where they can win a seat by earning points over a period of two months.
The total WPT prize package will include the WPT buy-in, airfare and hotel accommodations. The lucky winner will be able to choose which WPT event they wish to play in, the only condition is the dress code while playing. The winner must agree to wear the World Poker Store logo.
The VP of Marketing for The World Poker Store Inc. Greg Needham, said, “Our gaming partner program is not only beneficial to the facility that we bring thousands of players to, but it’s also a great chance for us to bring our Bar Poker League members together where they can compete in our Free tournament and then enjoy the Casino and Card Room opportunities later that same day.”
The Bar Poker League encompasses three states and boasts over 30,000 members. They expect to increase their membership rolls significantly over the next year, with new members from other states. In January the league will start off its expansion in Washington State. The Bar Poker League is partners with The Casino Jackpot Junction and the World Poker Store.
