On Friday, November 30th, Absolute Poker dealt its one billionth hand of poker at the Texas hold’em tournament tables. When the milestone approached, the site predicted it could happen on November 30th or December 1st, and they were right on target.
The person playing as “WIN1313” won that billionth hand and was awarded a prize package that included entries to Absolute Poker’s $150,000 weekly guaranteed tournament, the $100,000 weekly pro bounty tournament, and the $75,000 weekly guaranteed tournament. All complimentary entries must be used in the month of December, and the total value of the prize was estimated at $6,968.
Everyone else involved in the one billionth hand received entries into a $150,000 weekly guaranteed tournament in December, valued at $2,120.
David Clainer, Senior Vice President for Absolute Poker, said, “It’s been an unbelievable journey to the one-billionth hand at our tournament tables. Along the way we’ve welcomed new players with incredible promotions, new features and exciting games. The freebees continue with our one-billionth poker hand promo.”
Pointing to the popularity of Absolute Poker’s weekly tournaments, strong poker community, and bad beat jackpots, Clainer claims he wasn’t surprised to reach the billion hand mark.
“This is a significant milestone,” he added, “not only for our players but for the entire online poker industry as a whole.”
