Playing Cards for Your Inner Poker Diva

A new look to a classic deck of cards is brought to the table by Poker Prima Divas this holiday season. The cards are designed for women and players who want to improve their poker game.

Poker Prima Divas’ Texas Hold’em 101 playing cards are a fashionable pink color, and each one contains a poker tip, bit of strategy, or poker vocabulary word. For example, the Ace of spades tells the player about the most common mistakes of beginning players, and the six of clubs displays the chances of making a royal flush. Each deck also comes with a small cheat sheet with odds and percentages to help improve poker math skills.

The decks of cards are priced at $10 and can be purchased at There are also specials – buy five decks and get one free – along with other items for sale, like a chip set, card guards, and gift certificates.

Ellen Leikind, founder of Poker Prima Divas, noted, “If you want to be in the game, you’ve got to be at the table. Poker is hot, strategic, and mind-bending, and it’s not just for the guys anymore.”

Leikind’s New York-based company specializes in teaching women to “learn poker with the girls so they can play with the boys.” They offer classes to teach Texas hold’em in a friendly atmosphere, and they specialize in groups of women that would like to learn as well as business people who want to train as part of a sales meeting or other company team event. They offer many team-building ideas that involve poker as a tool for team-building and company bonding experiences.
