A poker tournament will be held on January 19, 2008 in Parker, Colorado to benefit the Parker Sky Sox youth baseball clubs. The event is scheduled to raise funds to help with the cost of equipment, uniforms, travel, and registration fees.

The new Black Bear Golf Club in Parker will be the location of the tournament that will run from 5pm to 11pm, though registration will begin at 4:30pm. The buy-in is $50 for 2,500 chips, and rebuys are available during the first hour for $50 with an add-on of 3,500 chips for an additional $50. As space opens up during the tournament, single table tournaments will begin with a $20 buy-in for 2,500 chips.

Cash prizes will be calculated on the amount available after expenses. There will also be a $50 bounty on the head of each Sky Sox coach.

To reserve a spot in the tournament, it is being suggested to RSVP early as the response has been great for the event. Contact Winston Rast at or (303) 947-5116.

The Parker Sky Sox youth baseball clubs are dedicated to teaching and reinforcing the importance of good sportsmanship and fundamental baseball skills. They compete in numerous leagues in and out of Colorado, such as the AAA and Majors divisions of the Arapahoe Youth League, and the USSSA and Triple Crown tournaments.
