After the second season of Poker After Dark on NBC aired its last episodes in mid-November, its third season of shows is already set to begin airing on New Year’s night. Most notably, viewers will be in for a new hostess, .
Poker fans will get their first look at Pereyra at 2:05am on January 1st. Being called the “Poker Princess,” she is an Argentina native who has gained broadcasting experience with a FUSE network show called Daily Download where she performed as a VJ. She has also been featured in magazines like Maxim and Billboard. She made her foray into the poker world during the 2007 World Series of Poker as a sideline reporter during the pay-per-view coverage of the main event.
No reason has been given for the discontinuation of the popular hostess Shana Hiatt, who was present for the first two seasons of Poker After Dark and continues to host the NBC National Heads-Up Championship.
The first week of Poker After Dark shows will feature Ken Light, a player who won his seat through a special online tournament. He then got to choose his dream table of players, which will include Daniel Negreanu, Phil Hellmuth, Jennifer Harman, Mike Matusow, and Scotty Nguyen .
