Million Dollar Cash Game Airs Monday Night

Season 2 of the “Million Dollar Cash Game” will air Monday night, January 7th at 10:30 pm on Sky Sports 2, and this is one show poker fans won’t want to miss!

Last year, Full Tilt Poker invited some of the biggest names in the poker world to participate in this milestone event. The game, held at the ritzy Fifty Casino in London, was one of the biggest cash games ever held in the UK. Laying down the minimum buy-in of $100,000 were famous poker faces like; Chris Ferguson, Tony G., Erick Lindgren, Howard Lederer, Roland de Wolfe, Erik Seidel and the UK’s own Marc Goodwin; they all set out to try and best each other last year and not only win the most cash, but take home the trophy too.

Since these are cash games, by the time several players add to their stacks, the table ends up with millions of dollars in chips being pushed all-in. These huge chip stacks, and the professional players behind them, make the action in these games very exciting to watch.

The January 7th season premiere episode of the Million Dollar Cash Game will focus on American poker professional Phil Ivey.

Ivey was having a bad day, and trying to make a comeback, after being down hundreds of thousands of dollars in the game. Ivey went to war with Patrik Antonius, and when both hit their hands, the chip battle was on. While you will have to tune in to see how the hand played out, Ivey now holds the record for winning the biggest cash game pot ever televised. The huge mountain of chips pushed to Ivey totaled $807,400.

The Million Dollar Cash Game is brought to the small screen by The Emblaze Productions. Managing Director of Emblaze, James Hopkins is happy to be back for season 2 and says, “We are delighted that Full Tilt Poker has continued to sponsor this unique high stakes cash game. With hundreds of thousands of dollars being staked over two days of filming, viewers are in for a thrilling second series."

Tune in to The Million Dollar Cash Game on Sky Sports 2 every Monday in January at 10:30 pm, for some of the most exciting poker action on television. Be sure to watch for Tony G. as he heats up the action and never misses a hand – or so it would seem.
