The Xtreme Couture G.I. Foundation Charity Poker TournamentMartial arts legend, Randy Couture is having a charity poker event at the Joint inside the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino this Saturday, January 12th from 1 – 6 p.m. Operation All In will benefit the Extreme Couture G.I. Foundation, a non profit unit dedicated to raising money for returning wounded veterans.

From the website, “Xtreme Couture GI Foundation was founded by Randy and Kim Couture to honor the veterans of America’s armed forces. The foundation was especially formed to raise money and awareness for those wounded in action and their families. To date, more than 24,000 U.S. troops have been wounded in the war against terrorism, which doesn’t include the many more suffering the mental effects.”

Word has it that Randy, a UFC Champion and veteran of the U.S. Army was very moved when he visited amputees at Brooke Army Medical Center, so he made it his mission to help soldiers and their families in need by establishing the Xtreme Couture GI Foundation.

This weekend’s tournament promises to bring big names from the martial arts industry, Hollywood, and of course the poker community. The list of attendees includes Montel Williams, Jose Canseco, Jamie Cold, Mark Cuban, Dean Caine, Todd Brunson, Sammy Farha, Hoyt Corkins, Phil Gordon, and Mike “The Mouth” Matusow.

All money over $50K will be donated to the Xtreme Couture GI Foundation.

The game is NL Texas Holdem and the structure is a re-buy format. The initial buy-in is $550 and re-buys will be $200. The Hard Rock has 15 tables available for the tournament, so head over early to ensure your seat!
