Ladbrokes Poker Million VII

Back for its seventh season, and now the longest running televised poker show, Ladbrokes Poker Million VII is preparing for the event by offering several ways to qualify for seats in the tournament itself. Beginning now and running through June 29th, players can qualify for a prize package worth $21,000 to play in one of the 12 televised heats.

As happened last year, sponsored players can buy their way into the Ladbrokes Poker Million, but there has been something new added. There will be four additional semi-final seats, two of which will be won exclusively online at while the show is being broadcast – September through November 2008. The other two semi-final seats will be played out in two televised second chance tournaments.

For as little as $1, players can compete in several daily super satellites on Ladbrokes Poker, and winners from those tournaments will go on to play in daily and weekly finals. The satellites will run for several months and give hopefuls numerous chances to compete and win a seat into the prestigious main event where the first prize is a guaranteed $1 million. And this year, Ladbrokes will be adding an extra $500,000 in prize money to the pool to make it $1.94 million in its entirety.

The show will be broadcast every Tuesday on Sky Sports 2 from September 9th to December 9th, 2008. The semi-finals and final table will be shown live in December.
