The World Poker Tour’s WPT® Texas Hold’Em 2 mobile game recently announced that it has received several accolades by top mobile operators. Since its launch in October of 2007 by Hands-On Mobile, Inc., a leading company specializing in the development of connected games and applications, the game has achieved several milestones.
First, AT&T recognized WPT® Texas Hold’Em 2 was recognized in the company’s “Best of 2007” awards and won two categories – best card/casino game and best multiplayer game.
Second, Gambling Online Magazine recently concluded its 2007 Readers’ Choice Awards and gave the WPT game the silver award for top mobile poker game.
In addition, more than 12 million hands have been dealt to 140,000 unique users who have downloaded the game. The longest continuous game play session lasted thirteen hours. Over 7,000 millionaires and 200 billionaires have been created since its launch, though real money play is not allowed. And WPT® Texas Hold’Em 2 players have sent over seven million chat messages via the mobile game.
