On March 5th, Everest Poker announced that the site signed an agreement with Harrah’s Entertainment, Inc. regarding the upcoming 2008 World Series of Poker. Not only did Everest Poker acquire satellite tournament rights and brand placement on the felt of all the WSOP tables in Las Vegas, but the company’s name will also be shown on the inner rung of the WSOP feature table on all ESPN broadcasts.

This agreement will catapult the already-popular website to new heights as the Everest Poker name will reach a global audience of approximately 200 million people. The site will also be able to send more European players, who comprise most of its player base, to the WSOP via satellites. There will be numerous seats to a variety of events that will be awarded for play on Everest Poker.

Everest Poker VP of Marketing Jennifer Joyce said, “We are thrilled with this deal as it will allow us to leverage our access to the WSOP to give our European players the best chance possible to compete at – and win – WSOP events in Las Vegas. We have always strived to make poker as accessible as possible to everybody, not just the elite few. Our goal is to see a European win the Main Event."

Satellites for the 2008 WSOP are already running on Everest Poker. Some of the highlights are as follows:

• Monday nights - $500 + $30 buy-in with one $13,000 WSOP package guaranteed
• Wednesday nights - $200 + $15 with one $7500 WSOP package guaranteed
• Fridays – one $3500 package guaranteed
• Saturdays - $22 + $2 and $5 + $.50 rebuy satellites to win seats into the Wednesday night tournaments
• May 18th – exclusive ladies-only tournament with five seats to the WSOP Ladies World Championship guaranteed
• June 8th – twenty seats to the WSOP main event guaranteed
