Since early February, poker bloggers from around the world have been taking a break from posting poker experiences to play in the Bodog Poker Blogger Tournament each Tuesday night. While tough fields are the norm, this week will be even tougher, as Team Bodog member and tournament poker pro Josh Arieh signs up to play.
Arieh is more than qualified to play in the tournament, as he has maintained a blog of his own for a number of years. Not only is he looking forward to playing with the field of poker enthusiasts, but bloggers can aim for him as there is a $100 bounty on his head. But if no one takes him down and he wins, he will put the $100 in his Bodog account with his tournament cash prize.
The Bodog Poker Blogger Tournament gets underway on Tuesday at 9:05pm EST, as it does every Tuesday during the 18-tournament series. The buy-in is $10 + $1, and the prize pool is determined and distributed as per the standard payout table. Besides competing for cash, the top five players each week win $109 in tournament chips to be used to buy in to Bodog Poker's $100,000 Guaranteed Tournament each Sunday.
Throughout the blogger series, players earn points based on their finishes, and the points are ranked over the four month period. At the end, the top 18 players on the tournament leader board will play in the final tournament on June 10th for a first place prize of one $12,000 World Series of Poker prize package. The winner will be a part of Team Bodog at the 2008 WSOP main event.
Non-bloggers have multiple chances to qualify for WSOP seats as well, as there are four main event prize packages being given away each week in March and April, and that number increases to five per week in May and June. Each prize package includes the $10,000 buy-in for the main event and $2,000 for travel expenses, not to mention Team Bodog gear and inclusion in all Bodog WSOP festivities.
Download Bodog Poker now to make your first deposit and join in the race to win a WSOP prize package. Use the bonus code “POKERWORKS” to get a 110% bonus on any deposit up to $500.
