For the fifth year, Hillel’s 5th Annual Celebrity Charity Poker Tournament will bring together some of poker and Hollywood’s finest for a great cause. The Bicycle Casino will host the tournament on Sunday, April 13th at noon in the Grand Ballroom.

Admission in the form of the buy-in is only $150, and inexpensive rebuys will be available during the first hour of play. The cash prize pool is set at a minimum of $10,000, so there is a substantial incentive to play, besides the fact that all proceeds from the event are going to Hillel, the Foundation for Jewish Campus Life.

Along with the poker tournament, there will be a live auction with various gifts that have been donated. Sports and Hollywood memorabilia will be available, as well as a special prize that allows the winner and a guest a private dinner with poker pro Annie Duke.

Poker pros Men “The Master” Nguyen and David “The Dragon” Pham will be returning to the Hillel benefit, having played in the past and helped make the environment a fun, yet challenging one for all of the players. In addition, Amir Vahedi has sent in his RSVP to play as well.

Among the celebrity guests who have tentatively confirmed that they will attend are Tony Denison, Carol Fenelon, Dule Hill, Josh Malina, Camryn Manheim, Mike Lansford, Steve Mason, Andrew Hill Newman, Victoria Pratt, Sara Rue, Phillip Palmer, J.K. Simmons, Richard Sparks, Nicole Sullivan, and Patrick Warturton. More famous faces may be in attendance as their schedules permit.

Hillel, The Foundation for Jewish Campus Life provides opportunities for Jewish students to explore and celebrate their Jewish identity through a global network of more than 500 regional centers and campus organizations. The groups are open to all students and, on the whole, they are committed to a pluralistic vision of Judaism that embraces the community. In the Southern California area, there is active participation at the University of California at Irvine, Chapman University, and Cal State Fullerton.

Online registration is available at TheBike.com or OCHillelPoker.com, though it closes on Wednesday, April 9th at 8pm. Early registration guarantees a prize bag, though walk-ins to the tournament are welcome on the day of the event. Be sure to arrive before noon for the poker practice and warm-up period, then the lunch at noon that will be complimentary to all players. The tournament is scheduled to begin promptly at 1pm.
