WPT to Award Bracelets to 96 Past Winners

To celebrate the end of six seasons of World Poker Tour tournaments and prepare to enter Season 7, WPT and Bellagio will host a Ceremony of Champions during the WPT World Championship in April. The ceremony will honor the 96 past winners with custom-made bracelets from Tiffany & Co.

Scheduled to take place in the famous “O” Theatre in Bellagio on April 21st, the celebration will kick off at 8:30pm with a private cocktail party for players and VIPs. The ceremony will follow at 10pm and will be led by Mike Sexton and Vince Van Patten – WPT commentators for all six seasons of the show thus far and the night’s Masters of Ceremony. The WPT Live Updates crew will be there to shoot footage and interviews with WPT bracelet winners.

The bracelets have been a long time in the making, as WPT commissioned Tiffany & Co. to design the personalized and carefully constructed tokens to be given to WPT champions. Each one is a ribbed link bracelet made of titanium and sterling silver with the WPT logo engraved in a matte finish, accented with a round bezel set diamond in the spade of the logo. Tiffany & Co. also designs trophies for the NFL, MLB, NBA, and NASCAR.

WPT Founder, President and CEO, Steve Lipscomb, said, “There are so many incredible stories to celebrate from the six World Poker Tour seasons and we are thrilled to pay tribute to each of our WPT champions. The championship bracelet has become synonymous with poker as a symbol of achievement and respect, and we are honored to continue the tradition that Benny Binion began over 30 years ago.”

Doug Dalton, Director of Poker Operations for Bellagio, added, “The ceremony of champions is a great way to highlight the dedication and hard work it takes to become a winner on the World Poker Tour. We are excited to host this sensational event in the ‘O’ Theatre and we look forward to another successful championship event.”
