As part of the grand opening ceremony on Day 1 of the 2008 World Series of Poker, Commissioner Jeffrey Pollack announced to all in attendance that all WSOP bracelet holders would receive special treatment from Harrah’s in the form of Diamond status. Players thus far have been pleasantly surprised at the bonus award.
In fact, the reward will not only be given to WSOP winners beginning in 2008, but all past bracelet winners as far back as 1970 will receive the same status at Harrah’s. Diamond is one of the highest levels of Harrah’s Total Rewards loyalty program and is valid at all Harrah’s properties throughout the world. The bonus will be valid through March 2009.
Players with Diamond status receive numerous benefits from Harrah’s, including free show tickets, access to Diamond Lounges at any Harrah’s properties, and priority service at participating restaurants, clubs, concierges, and hotel front desks. In addition, the WSOP registration process for the 2008 WSOP becomes easier, as Diamond club members receive access to the VIP registration line.
David Norton, Senior Vice President of Relationship Marketing for Harrah’s Entertainment, said, “We want to ensure that these valued customers get outstanding service such as expedited check-in and access to the diamond lounge so their experience at the Rio and other Harrah’s resorts are as seamless as possible.”
WSOP Commissioner Jeffrey Pollack added, “The WSOP bracelet is the most coveted prize in gaming. We want every bracelet holder to know how important they are to our company and this gesture is an important step in that direction.”
Total Rewards personnel have already been notified and given a list of past WSOP bracelet winners, so when players stop by any Total Rewards desk, new Diamond cards await them.
