Full Tilt Fever: Antonius Has the Fever for High Stakes

On June 1st, Full Tilt Poker signed Patrik Antonius to Team Full Tilt, which already had a stellar lineup including the likes of Phil Ivey, Gus Hansen, Chris Ferguson, Howard Lederer, and Jennifer Harman. It didn’t take long for Antonius to begin feeling comfortable on the site, as he seems to have already set up four of his own high stakes cash game tables.

Following in the footsteps of his fellow Full Tilt pros, Antonius has secured a seat at four newly established high stakes tables. The names of the tables and the games are:

• “Patrik” - $2,000/$4,000 six-handed Omaha hi-lo, $50K minimum buy-in
• “Patrik Antonius” - $2,000/$4,000 H.O.R.S.E., $50K minimum buy-in
• “RailHeaven” - $500/$1,000 six-handed no-limit hold’em, $50K minimum buy-in, $200K maximum
• “Antonius” - $200/$400 pot-limit Omaha, $40K minimum buy-in, $200K maximum

Yikes! I may have to work on my bankroll a little before I can play with the high-stakes Finn. Okay, more than a little…

Antonius is known for his tournament skills but more so for his zest for high stakes cash games. If he can find them live or online, in Monaco or in Las Vegas, there doesn’t seem to be much that stands in the way of him getting there to compete. Now, he can sign on whenever he is alerted to players who can and wish to compete at his level, no matter where he is in the world.

Though most of us cannot afford to play at the level of Antonius, it is important to keep in mind that every successful online player – even Antonius himself – started out at the lowest levels of the game. Sure, some work their way up the limit ladder faster than others, but everyone starts on the first rung.

Isn’t it time we got started? There are cash games and tournaments at every level imaginable, and for a very minimal online deposit of funds, a player can begin at any comfortable game limit, perfect those skills, and move up as desired. While doing so, Full Tilt Poker provides tips from the pros that can be applied to any amount of money that might be on the line.

The first step is simple. Download Full Tilt Poker and enter the bonus code “POKERWORKS” when making that initial deposit. That will allow you to earn a 100% bonus on any dollar amount deposited up to $600.

There’s no limit to what you can do with that initial deposit. Just ask Patrik Antonius.
