2,379 players returned to action on Day 2B with dreams of making it to the money, and maybe, just maybe, winning the WSOP bracelet that everyone dreams of. By the end of the day, under 850 of these players would be remaining. It was an intense day of poker action, with big names dropping like flies and new names emerging. Is one of these players the next Chris Moneymaker or Jamie Gold? We'll find out in the next week.
Among the players who failed to make it through the day were Godsmack lead singer Sully Erna, John Juanda, Michael DeMichele, Joe Awada, Brian Townsend, Alex Jacob, Jerry Yang, Beth Shak, Clonie Gowen, Shannon Elizabeth, Howard Lederer, Jordan Rich, Nick Binger, Steve Dannenmann, Isabelle Mercier, Lee Childs, Sorel Mizzi, Michael Binger, Carlos Mortenson, Brad Booth, Dan Shak, Phil Laak, David Oppenheim, Liz Lieu, David Singer, Nikolay Evdakov, and Joe Bartholdi.
