PokerStars Raises Tournament Guarantees

Now the Sunday Million at PokerStars just became the Sunday $1.5 million.

Guaranteed.

It's part of a new promotion by PokerStars to up the guarantees on 483 tournaments per week, up from just 199 last week.

That bumps the overall prize pool from $7.5 million to more than $13 million.



The first $1.5 million guarantee brought out so many players this Sunday it actually bumped the prize pool to $1.6 million.

The $1.5 million guarantee isn't just a promotion. You can expect it every week from now on.

Other tournaments, such as the Sunday Warm-Up, are also getting a boost. The Warm-Up, for instance, is getting a $250,000 increase to $750,000. The Super Tuesday, held each Tuesday night, is getting a $50,000 boost.

There's also a new tournament with a $250,000 guarantee. The $530 weekly buy-in will double once a month at the end.
