Full Tilt Fever: FTOPS IX Double Winner Makes History

The Full Tilt Online Poker Series (FTOPS) is in its final days of the ninth installment of the ever-popular run of tournaments. Having started on August 6th, the majority of the 25 events have been played and millions of dollars has been given away. And in the midst of a wide range of players having won their share of that massive prize pool, one stands out after having won two tournaments in a row…and on the same day!

It is not uncommon for online poker players to multi-table, rather those of us who play only one tournament at a time might be seen as the oddities. For Yuval Bronshtein, who plays as yuvee04 on Full Tilt Poker, it may have been a no-brainer to enter two tournaments on the same day at the exact same time. On Tuesday, August 12th, he registered and played Event #14, the $500 + $35 H.O.R.S.E. tournament, and Event #15, the $200 + $16 NLHE turbo tournament.

Bronshtein won them both.

The skilled all-around player showed his talents by working the field of 655 and winning Event #14 for $70,413 and then taking down $101,975 for Event #15, which boasted of 2,472 players. It was an amazing feat.

Bronshtein is no stranger to FTOPS tournaments, as he also won a seven-card stud 8-or-better event in a 2007 FTOPS. Not only is he a skilled online player, but his live tournament resume shows that he has cashed in the World Series of Poker and WSOP Europe for two years running. Out of four cashes, two were final table finishes, putting his live tournament winnings at $161,215. Now, the young Atlanta poker star has made history on Full Tilt by winning two events in the same FTOPS series and three since the beginning of FTOPS.

Most likely, Bronshtein would attest to the fact that practice is essential in this poker world, and tenacity breeds success. And the bottom line is that any new player has the potential to achieve great things and become that next player that everyone is writing about. All it takes is a Full Tilt Poker account, which provides access to lessons and tips from the amazing line-up of Full Tilt pros and an unlimited amount of games in which to hone those skills.

Though this installment of the FTOPS is coming to a close, the tenth FTOPS is on the horizon, and it promises to be bigger and better than ever. Now would be the time to log on and practice to get your hands on some of the millions of dollars sure to be up for grabs at the next FTOPS!
