With the $25,000 buy-in Heads-Up Pot-Limit Omaha World Championship was announced, the excitement could be measured on the blogs and forums. The first Heads-Up World Championship, which was no-limit hold’em, was immensely popular with the online community, and with the surging popularity of PLO, people are anxiously awaiting this history-making Full Tilt Poker tournament.

Already, some of the biggest names in poker have registered for the tournament. Andy Bloch, Gus Hansen, Phil Ivey, Patrik Antonius, Brian Hastings, Dario Alioto, Robert Williamson III, Josh Arieh, Rob Hollink, Steve Zolotow, Thomas Wahlroos, Tom Dwan, Phil Galfond, and Tony G have signed up, and very few spots remain of the 64 available. Online poker fans from around the world will be logging on to railbird the heads-up matches, so Full Tilt is giving something to those sweating the $25K PLO tables.

Sweat tournaments will begin on the second day of the Heads-Up PLO Championship, which is Sunday, September 7th. Each tournament will require a $10 + $1 buy-in, but Full Tilt Poker will be adding $5,000 in prize money to the total pool. Sweet!

Players can sign up for the sweat tournament named for the player they think will win the $25K PLO Championship later that day, i.e. the Ivey Sweat Tournament or the Antonius Sweat Tournament. There will be one for each of the players left in the final rounds, though each player will only be permitted to play in one of them, and whoever makes the final table of the tournament with the name of the winning player will receive their share of a $5,000 bonus added to the prize money. That $5K will be added to the payouts for the top nine players.

While you’re watching the exciting matches, it only makes sense to try out your own skills and make a little money. And betting on the player you think will win the $25K event could add more to your own payout!

It’s time to log on now, create that account, and get a few games in before the Sunday Sweat Tournaments. And if you download Full Tilt Poker and use the bonus code “POKERWORKS” when making the initial deposit, you can earn a 100% bonus on dollar amounts up to $600.

And with a little practice, you could be a part of the next $25K Heads-Up Championship held on Full Tilt in the future. With hundreds of thousands of dollars at stake, as well as the opportunity to play with the Full Tilt pros, the incentive is just a few mouse clicks away.
