Bodog Poker Open II is going to be Huge

It’s become pretty clear over the last year that Bodog Poker is really starting to step their tournament game up.  First off, Bodog already holds a $100,000 Guaranteed tournament every single Sunday which can be found on the banner at the top left of every page on PokerWorks right now.  But then Bodog decided to up the ante on the $100,000 Guaranteed tournament they hold every Sunday by producing one of their largest tourneys in history on August 10th.

This monster was called the $250,000 Guaranteed and actually drew so many players that the prize pool jumped up to $296,000.  Now Bodog is going to hold an even bigger event that will start on September 28th and offers players a total prize pool of at least $650,000.  Called the Bodog Poker Open II, this second installment of the series will feature 14 different tournaments held throughout a 6 day span.  And 6 of these will be “bounty” tournaments where a player will win $109 in Bodog Tournament Credits for every pro that they knock out of a tourney.

And players can expect to see all of the Bodog pros in the Bodog Poker Open II as David Williams, Evelyn Ng, Justin Bonomo, and Jean-Robert Bellande will all be playing the tournaments.  One of the pros, Justin Bonomo, weighed in on the colossal event by saying, “Whoever said sequels are never as good as the original certainly wasn't talking about the Bodog Poker Open II.  The first BPO was pretty big but the BPO II takes it to a whole new level with more events, more money guaranteed, deeper stacks, and they're keeping it fun along the way with bounty tournaments.  I welcome all players to take a shot at me during the series.”

As mentioned before, things get started on September 28th and this will see two tournaments where the players will make up the prize pool and Bodog will contribute $5,000 to one and $10,000 to the other.  This day also features a $30,000 Guaranteed taking place too.  Things will get progressively bigger though as the 29th kicks off with a $75,000 Guaranteed.  October 2nd will also have a $75,000 Guaranteed tournament as well.

However, all 13 tournaments leading up to Sunday, October 5th are just appetizers for the Bodog Poker II – Main Event as this day sees players taking part in the huge $300,000 tournament.  Earlier this year, Shawn “phatcat” Luman won the first BPO Main Event which reached $305,120 in prize money.  His cut for winning was a hefty $78,280 but could certainly be eclipsed by this year’s top prize.

If you’re looking to make some big money like Shawn “phatcat” Luman sign up for Bodog Poker using the POKERWORKS bonus code so that you also get the 110% deposit bonus up to $500.  Plus you’ll also be eligible to compete in the aforementioned $100,000 Guaranteed tournament that happens every Sunday at Bodog.

Another benefit of signing up at Bodog Poker is that one can hurry and get into the remaining satellites for the BPO II.  The Main Event costs $470 + $30 to get into but players can win their way in through satellites as cheap as $4.  Check out the lobby for more satellites once you’re a member of Bodog.
