The online poker community is in for another treat from Full Tilt Poker. The tenth installment of the Full Tilt Online Poker Series (FTOPS) has been announced, and it arrives just in time to allow players to make a little extra money for the holidays. It begins on November 5, 2008 and runs through November 16.



When FTOPS began with its inaugural series in August of 2006, the combined prize pool was little more than $1 million. By the summer of 2008, the ever-popular series had developed into a monstrous event, as FTOPS IX boasted of 46,855 players in the 25 events and a cumulative prize pool of $17,446,400. The main event alone had 4,880 registered players and a $2.5 million prize pool. In only two years of FTOPS tournaments, the growth has been amazing!

FTOPS X is set to start on November 5th with a $200 + $16 NLHE six-max event with a $1 million guarantee. And the 25 tournaments, all to be hosted by Full Tilt Pros whose names are yet to be announced, run through November 16th, which will be the $500 + $35 NLHE main event with a $2.5 million guarantee. All in all, the tenth running of the FTOPS will guarantee $15.95 million, though if past series are any indication, buy-ins for the tournaments will take that prize pool far beyond all expectations.

And the prizes will be as great as ever. Every player making the final table of an FTOPS X event will receive a limited-edition FTOPS jacket. Winners of each event will not only take home the first-place prize money, but they will also receive a gold FTOPS jersey and gold jersey avatar for use on Full Tilt Poker.

The upcoming FTOPS will feature the leaderboard for players to track their standings, video highlights of featured tables, and a “Bouncebackability” freeroll tournament for bubble players. Also, in addition to the numerous satellites that will be running on Full Tilt Poker for each and every FTOPS event, there will be the Satellite Challenge for players to win extra tournament dollars by winning multiple satellites.
