Dennis Phillips, who looks primed to become poker's next World Champion, is offering a chance for a piece of his new-found fame to help fight Multiple Sclerosis.

Phillips, the chip leader among the "November Nine" who will battle it out for the WSOP Main Event title on Nov. 9, is hosting an auction on E-bay for a prime spot on his jersey. All proceeds will go to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society.

Phillips, a PokerStars sponsored player, will give companies and individuals a chance to bid for the prime real estate on Phillips' jersey from Oct. 16-26 on E-bay.

Phillips will compete at the final table in millions of households on ESPN on Nov. 11 for more than $9 million and the Main Event bracelet. Many expect it to be the most-watched poker event in history and will be rebroadcasted many times in the future. That's because the table will be as "live" as possible, with a broadcast only two days after the event is over.

Phillips became involved in the fight against MS when his brother was diagnosed with it more than 10 years ago. He's now a longtime supporter who wants to donate part of his winnings to MS as well.

“Being on the Final Table of the WSOP is an opportunity of a lifetime, but we hope that this opportunity will one day save someone’s life,” Phillips said in a press release.

Phillips also has pledged 1 percent of his winnings to the "Bad Beat on Cancer" foundation, which PokerStars will match in full, and he has donated to a number of other causes.

More than 6,000 have MS in the St. Louis, Missouri area, where Phillips lives.

The E-bay auction begins on Oct. 16 at 8 a.m. Eastern Standard Time.
