One of the loudest voices in poker, Layne Flack is known to be outspoken on just about everything. In this series of Q & A’s we try to pull a couple more unknown facts out of him.

Name: Layne Flack

Nickname: Back-to-Back Flack

Date of birth: 5/18/69

Place of birth: Rapid City, SD

Currently residing: Las Vegas

Favorite song to listen to before tournament that gets you pumped up: Rock Star - Nickelback

Craziest prop bet: I bet that a 220 pound man could run a 6 minute mile for $250,000 and his leg cramped up on the first lap. I bet $100,000 that Ted Forrest couldn’t bowl a 100 game, he bowled it.

Favorite places to travel: Aruba, Paris, Australia

What do you like to do in your spare time:
Golf, hang with the ladies

Any celebrity crushes: there are two that I like Penelope Cruz and Salma Hayek.

If you weren't playing poker what career would you have:
I would be in business.

What is something no one knows about you: I’m pretty much out there – everyone knows everything about me and I have very little secrets.

Favorite movie: Tombstone

Describe yourself in three words: Overwhelming, hyperactive, talented

What are you most proud of in your life: My daughter

What is your favorite smell: Cherry

Favorite taste: Cherry

Favorite sound: I like the sound of a fan when I am trying to sleep

Biggest impulse purchase: A corvette

What is a day in your life like outside of playing poker:
It’s fast paced – get up and golf, have a nice dinner and then I go out to a club – Prive at the Bellagio – that’s like my office. People will call me and say, ‘Layne, where are you? I’m at your office.’

How many tournaments do you play a year: I probably play about 70.

What is the most over used phrase in poker:
I got sucked out on.

How do you celebrate when you make a big score, either tournaments, cash, online or live:
Same way I do every other day in my life. I don’t do anything special – a normal day in my life is already pretty up there.

What are you up to now: Just living the life, every day.

Biggest poker goal: Probably to win the main event, to add to the 6 bracelets I already have. I have probably already reached the goals that a lot of people are shooting for.

WSOP bracelets: 6

WSOP cashes: 19

*Like a wheel, the Round Table is a circle of adventures and victories, beats and stories, and life as it unfolds with a cast of characters that may, or may not, have joined you in your home on a local TV program. There's so much more to poker than what you see on TV. Although I won't use canvas, I will paint the full picture for you as I follow the lives of some of your favorite (and some unknown) players. The Round Table is an ongoing series of life, viewed full circle.*
