The 2008 Joe Hachem & Shane Warne Poker Tournament established to contribute to the Shane Warne Foundation is open for registration.  The tournament and all the fun and festivities surrounding it are going to begin on Monday, the 27th of October, 2008.  Be at The Crown Poker Room, Level B2, Crown Melbourne at 5:30PM for a ‘Learn to Play’ session and enjoy the fully catered event until game time at 7PM, then get ready to PLAY. 

Register early, everyone's invited but seats are limited and there's no excuse for being late and .  The Buy-in is $1,000 and promises a first prize of $25,000.



Along with the entertainment of an exciting poker tournament with world champions, expect a fantastically fun auction and get ready to open your wallets – and purses, Ladies – to help a very worthy cause.

Each table is expected to have a celebrity player and if you happen to draw the one with Tony G., get ready to find your bike and laugh while you are looking for it.

The Shane Warne Foundation devotes time and energy to raising funds for seriously ill or poor children through established charity partners that provide services to these children.  Proving that caring and commitment do work, The Foundation has raised over $1.7 Million since 2005 and The Joe Hachem & Shane Warne Poker Tournament raised over $250,000 for the cause in 2007.
