Everest E-Report: Everest Poker Qualifier Finishes Second at EPT Warsaw

It is not uncommon for a poker player to qualify for a seat in a major land-based tournament on Everest Poker, as the site offers chances to play in almost every major series. But for a player to qualify on the site and make it all the way to the final table says even more about the kind of training and support provided by Everest.

Most recently, up-and-coming German poker player Nico Behling added an extraordinary accomplishment to his growing resume. At only 23-years old, he carefully navigated a field of 218 players at the European Poker Tour Polish Open in Warsaw to end up at the final table alongside players like Dario Minieri and Arnaud Mattern. For finishing in second place, he was awarded an amazing €205,270 and narrowly missed out on his first EPT title.

Behling has been a regular on Everest Poker for years, having qualified for a seat at the EPT Barcelona in 2006 before doing so again this year. He is one of the many players who has learned that Everest is not only an ideal place to play online poker, but it provides ample opportunities for those looking to win their seats - at a fraction of the actual tournament buy-in - to some of the most prestigious poker events on the live circuit.

Everest Poker Events Coordinator and circuit follower Olaf Schimpf was in Warsaw, Poland, to support Behling throughout the EPT event and spoke to him after his second place finish. Behling commented, “If someone would have told me before the tournament that I would finish second, I would have signed up for that immediately -- now, of course, I am a little disappointed that the trophy was so close!”

And in a message to Everest Poker players, he added, “You have to work on your game, study the theoretical part of poker in the beginning and always believe in yourself…and don’t let short term luck or bad beats disturb you!”

That is good advice from someone with proven success and skills honed on Everest Poker. Behling is not a sponsored pro and made those comments from sheer experience with the site, with the simple intention of encouraging others to be persistent and confident.

With many more stops yet to be made during the fifth season of the EPT, there are seats to be won to each of them. The EPT has just announced that the Deauville, France stop is back on the schedule, and following that will be the Scandinavian Open in Copenhagen, German Open in Dortmund, San Remo in Italy, and the EPT Grand Final in beautiful Monte Carlo, Monaco. As Behling can attest, the Everest Poker prize packages make for an amazing opportunity and can be parlayed into hundreds of thousands of dollars in prize money.
