On the heels of the announcement of the Poker Jingle at the Hard Rock to take place on December 12th, there was information released about another tournament to benefit the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society in memory of Mindy Trinidad. The December 3rd event will be online at Full Tilt Poker and hosted by Team Full Tilt member Erick Lindgren.
Trinidad was a poker enthusiast who took her passion for the game to the felt and all the way to the 2007 World Series of Poker final table in the ladies championship event. Other victories at the tables, however, did not compare to her successes as a wife and mother of two children. A recent diagnosis with leukemia led to treatments but complications as well, and her death came as the ultimate bad beat just weeks before the 2008 holiday season. In memory of her and to raise funds for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, the Full Tilt Poker tournament is being held at 7pm ET on December 3rd.
The event can be found in the “private” tournaments tab on Full Tilt Poker. It will be a $5 + $5 no-limit hold’em event, with half of that buy-in going toward the prize pool and the other half going directly to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society of Southern Nevada. Added to the prize pool is a “world” model watch donated by Curtis & Co., which is valued at $2,200 and will be awarded to the winner along with the cash prize. Erick Lindgren will be hosting the tournament and will likely be joined by numerous other members of the Team Full Tilt family in this worthy event.
