ECOOPIII Recap Through Event Six

The European Championship of Online Poker (ECOOP III) is underway and with a breath-taking $4,150,000 up for grabs, this year’s event is more exciting than ever!!

So far, six of the 14 ECOOP III events are in the poker history books and many happy winners have fatter bankrolls and bigger smiles. Event 1: $250,000 Guaranteed Prize Pool (GP) NL Hold’em held on the 24th of November. The $200 + $15 buy-in event attracted 1,420 entries. The total prize pool reached $284,000 and paid 150 places. The top five winners were:

Event 2: $100,000 GP Limit Hold’em held on the 25th of November. The event had 533 players, with a buy-in of $200 + $15, making the actual prize pool $106,600. The event paid 80 places and the top five money winners were:

Event 3: $100,000 GP NL Hold'em Turbo, $100 + $9 buy-in held on the 26th of November. This event had 1,056 entries making the actual prize pool $221,900 which paid out 150 places. The top five money winners were:

Event 4: $100,000 GP PL Omaha Hi/Lo was held on the 27th of November. The $200 + $15 buy-in event attracted 420 players and paid 50 places. The top five winners were:

•    alas7  $8,000.00
•    conort  $6,000.00
•    ryebobber  $5,000.00

Event 5: $350,000 GP NL Hold'em event held on the 28th of November attracting 532 players. This was a $750 + $50 buy-in event and the actual prize pool reached $399,000 and paid 80 places. The top five big winners were:

•    MURIBE  $23,940.00
•    Doesalrite  $19,950.00

Event 6:  $100,000 GP PL Omaha, staged on the 29th of November attracted 156 players who forked out the $1,000 + $50 buy-in, including PokerWorks own – Tony G. Despite his best efforts, Tony couldn’t hang on past 71st place. The actual prize pool reached $178,000 and paid out 20 places. The lucky top five winners were:
