PokerStars presents a fantastic tournament extravaganza for anyone that blogs.  The question that comes to some is, “What is a blog?”  A blog is a diary of sorts, an online writing that tells of events, or daily life, or fantasies galore, and more.  If you have carried a blog for any period of time, you are eligible to play in the WBCOOP.  There are a few requirements and one is that you post a banner in your blog post or in your blog template and then register with PokerStars.  Once that is complete you receive a ticket in your PokerStars account which entitles you to play in the World Blogger Championship of Online Poker (WBCOOP).

If you don’t have a PokerStars account, that is very easily remedied and you can pick up free cash while you are acquiring one.  Simply download PokerStars and enter the Marketing Code "POKERWORKS" upon registration and Bonus Code "First2008" upon your first deposit. You will be rewarded with a FREE $25 as soon as you accumulate 100 FPPs. You are also eligible for an extra 100% up to $50 on your first deposit bonus.  Once you have your account set-up out of the way, move on to the good part.

You’ve got an account; you’ve got a blog; and you’ve placed the PokerStars WBCOOP banner in your blog, you’ve registered, and your ticket has arrived in your account at PokerStars.  In years past you would have been auto-entered into one giganta-saurus tournament with a huge field of bloggers.  The year 2008 has a few changes to the WBCOOP as you will find a ticket in your account into six events that will give you an opportunity to win your way into the Main Event.  Those events are:

•    A PLO Freeroll – registration begins at 12:00 ET December 15th.

•    A NLHE Freeroll– registration begins at 17:00ET December 16th.

•    A PLO H/L Freeroll – registration begins at 20:00ET December 17th.

•    A NLH Freeroll – registration begins at 12:00ET December 18th.

•    An 8-Game Freeroll – registration begins at 15:00ET December 19th.

•    A NLHE Freeroll – registration begins at 13:00ET December 20th.

Registration starts two hours before the event begins, a maximum of 25,000 players are allowed and the top 72 finishers from each event will go on to play the WBCOOP NLH Sunday Final which is held on December 21st at 15:00ET.  Over $50,000 in prizes is simply waiting on you, the blogger that has a bit of poker moxie and can fade the field to be the last blogger standing, even though prizes are great if you make the top 100.

The final payout:
