Full Tilt Fever: 2009 Starts With Sit & Go Madness

It’s no surprise that Full Tilt Poker had a plan to ring in the new year with a major promotion, as they always seem to know just what their customers want and when they want it. So only a few days into 2009, Sit & Go Madness is scheduled to begin, and over the course of two days and nights, more than $75K in cash and prizes will be available for sit-n-go players on Full Tilt Poker.

And it’s all about the green. Well, sure, money is green, but so are the sit-n-go tables included in the Sit & Go Madness promotion. Any sit-n-go highlighted in green between 4pm ET on Friday, January 9th and 4pm ET Sunday, January 11th are the ones to look for. They will be categorized based on buy-in levels as follows:

Group A:  $1 - $2
Group B:  $5 - $11
Group C:  $20 - $33
Group D:  $50 - $110

For the 48 hours, awards will be given after each two-hour block in the time period allotted for the “madness,” and players will gain points (and cash) for their finishes. For instance, a first-place finish in a Group A sit-n-go is worth $20, while seventh place is good for $1. Payouts increase incrementally per group, with Group D first place finishers receiving $500 for those efforts.

Tracking can be done on the special leaderboard for each group, and the best performance in each two-hour period receives points. The top two players in each group will then join for a $5K sit-n-go freeroll on January 17th where the top three places will divide that substantial prize pool.

There will also be something called the “Madness Raffle,” wherein prizes will be raffled off to players who win any of the sit-n-go’s. Winning a table earns one raffle ticket, and those can be quite valuable since prizes include entries into FTOPS XI events, tokens for satellites, and Full Tilt gear. The grand prize will be a Full Tilt Poker Home Game Package, which includes a deluxe poker table, chip set, and leather poker deck cases. All in all, more than 1,000 prizes will be given away to qualifying players in the raffle.

Players interested in participating need only register for the green sit-n-go’s from the lobby, but be prepared for a high turnout. Sit-n-go’s are popular on a normal day, but add extra incentives like $75K in cash and raffle prizes, and players will be scrambling to get to the tables.

With only days until the madness begins, so to speak, it seems that the time is now to download Full Tilt Poker and open that account in preparation for the excitement. And with the use of the bonus code “POKERWORKS” when making the first deposit, the winning begins as soon as the play does with a 100% bonus on any dollar amount up to $600.

So with the start of the new year, isn’t it already time to engage in some Full Tilt Poker madness?
