The first year of the Spanish Poker Tour was such a success that the 2009 season is already announced and scheduled. With the March kick-off in Madrid, players will have eight opportunities to get involved throughout the year. And with Everest Poker as the sponsor for the tour, there will be countless opportunities to qualify for seats on the Spanish Poker Tour.



With Thomas Kremser as the tournament director and some of the best destinations that Spain has to offer, the second season of the Spanish Poker Tour will launch on March 19 at the Gran Casino Aranjuez in Madrid. The €1,100 buy-in event will feature some of the best and most popular Spanish players on the tournament circuit, as well as poker pros who will travel from other countries to be a part of the event. And though the changes in store for players have yet to be revealed, the Spanish Poker Tour’s Executive Producer Paloma Benita noted, “There will be many new additions to this season, including new destinations, improved structure and more online qualification options.”

With only about one month until the kick-off of the tour, it’s time to become an Everest Poker player to take advantage of the numerous satellite opportunities. For as little as $3, players can qualify for their seats at the coveted Spanish Poker Tour tables and visit some of the most beautiful locales in Spain.

First, the online qualifiers include $3 + $.30 rebuy events and $11 + $1 satellites several times each day, Tuesday $11 + $1 super turbo satellites every half hour, and Tuesday $100 + $9 direct entry satellites. At least five players from each weekly qualifier are guaranteed to win the prize package, which includes the buy-in, fee, accommodations, and travel expenses.

In addition, Everest Poker will be offering live satellites at each tournament location. Those satellites will run at €150 + $15, and winners will receive secured seats to the next Spanish Poker Tour tournament.
