PokerStars is putting on its first-ever spring series, with 22 events and $30 million guaranteed.
Hey, why the long face? Oh. Yeah. We know what you're saying. You don't have thousands of dollars to spend on MTTs. And the $5 million main event has a $10,300 buy-in? Are you kidding me?
Take heart. The biggest news out of this spring series, besides the fact that it's the first ever, is that PokerStars is hosting three levels of play. There's high stakes, medium stakes and, yes, low stakes.
So everyone can play this series, which runs from April 2-12.
Hey, stop jumping up and down. We haven't even told you the games yet!
That's right. You'll find events with buy-ins as low as $5.50. There's several $11 buy-ins, several other $16.50 buy-ins and many other $22 buy-ins. In fact, almost all of the events are $55 or less.
Conversely, there are many buy-ins of $5,200 or more, and one of the buy-ins is $25,500! You read that right. Unreal.
OK. On to the games. There are, of course, some NLHE games, as you would expect. But even those are interesting. There's a six-max game with rebuys, a second chance turbo format, a shootout, a heads-up match play and the main event.
There's also Pot-Limit Omaha (both hi and split), five-card draw, H.O.R.S.E., Triple Draw 2-7 and, of course, Razz.
And the best part? Just as you would expect, satellites to the games, even at the highest level, have already started. So if you want to play the big games but can't afford the big buy-ins, you'll get your shot.
Want to play? Download PokerStars now and you'll get a 100 percent matching bonus up to $50. You must enter the marketing code of POKERWORKS upon registration and the bonus code of STARS50 upon your first deposit.
Do it, because this year, for the first time, not only will you be able to play in a huge series this spring, you'll be able to play even if you can't take out a loan or win your way in.
This year, everyone's in.
