Everest E-Report: European Cup Live Finale Seeking Qualifiers

The Everest Poker-sponsored European Cup has become one of the most anticipated poker events in Europe, and as the third installment of the series looks toward the live grand finale, players on Everest Poker are lining up their opportunities to win seats. And with multiple opportunities for players from various countries to do so and represent their country in the last tournament of the season, the site is buzzing with satellites.

The live finale is the result of 27 live events held across Europe in 11 countries that began in late 2008 and ran through February of 2009. Winners of the live tournaments are automatically qualified for the May championship tournament, the destination of which has now been announced. It will be held from May 9th to 10th in the luxurious Sardinian locale at the Chia Laguna Resort.

Players who have not yet qualified have multiple opportunities to do so online throughout the month of March, and winners will receive a prize package valued at €1,100, which includes a three-night stay at the resort, buy-in to the tournament, and the other €300 for travel expenses. While the European Cup grand finale will provide the chance for fame and fortune, the location offers a grand vacation opportunity in one of Europe’s most popular getaway destinations.

There are free qualifiers running on Everest Poker for various participating countries, as players will need to play in their country-specific tournaments. Though there are qualifiers every Friday and Sunday through the end of March open to all of Europe, the remainder of the qualifiers are more specific. Here is the breakdown:

All Europe:
Satellites (Fridays & Sundays), 250 qualifier seats each

Germany:

Italy:

Other countries are not running satellites but definitely awarding seats from online qualifiers, such as Switzerland, Austria, and Belgium on Mondays through March 23; Portugal, Hungary, and Poland on Wednesdays through March 25; Sweden and Spain on Thursdays through March 26; and Finland, Norway, and Denmark on March 5 and March 19.

Did we mention that the qualifiers are free? Yes, ladies and gentlemen, no cash buy-in is required for the qualifiers, only 10 Summit Points, which are player reward points accumulated through everyday play on Everest Poker.

Sardinia and the Everest Poker European Cup await, so now is the time to download Everest Poker and start gathering those points. Don’t forget to use the bonus code “PNEWS200” when making your initial deposit, as that translates into qualification for a $200 bonus.
