Full Tilt Fever: Enter the FTOPSXII Satellite Challenge

It is almost here! The twelfth installment of the Full Tilt Online Poker Series (FTOPS) is a short time away with a start date of May 6, and there will be well over $18 million up for grabs over the course of the 25 events. And the satellites for each event are up and running now.

But there is more to the satellites than simply winning an entry into your tournament of choice. The FTOPS XII Satellite Challenge allows players to win as many seats into one event as possible, despite the fact that you can only use one. Then why put forth the effort? There are tournament dollars involved that players can use for other tournaments, some of which include monstrous guarantees and prize packages to live tournaments.

It starts like this. Win a satellite entry to an FTOPS tournament and you will be automatically registered for that event and qualified to pick up quite a few real dollars for finishing in the money or winning the event. But win additional satellites to that same event, and Full Tilt Poker will credit your account with tournament dollars equal to that tournament entry. For example, if you win two satellite entries to a $500 buy-in tournament, you will win your entry plus an extra 500 tournament dollars credited to your account to be used in any tournament on Full Tilt.

And it gets better. Win more buy-ins to any one particular event than anyone else, and you will receive tournament dollars equivalent to two additional buy-ins. Even finishing in second place in any event’s satellite challenge will garner you one extra tournament buy-in reward.

Let’s take Event 1 as an example. As of the time of the writing of this article, player “bilas495” has won 63 satellite entries to the $200 buy-in NLHE event. That means “bilas495” will be playing in the event and has an extra 12,400 tournament dollars to use in any tournament on Full Tilt Poker. And if that player wins the Event 1 challenge, which might be tough as “The Fiend 34” is already at 62 satellite wins, there will be bonus tournament dollars to be awarded.

The FTOPS XII Satellite Challenge is just one of the things that makes the Full Tilt Online Poker Series such an exciting online event, one that draws players from all over the world.

And to participate, the first step is to sign up for a Full Tilt Poker account. When doing so, use the bonus code “POKERWORKS” to qualify for a sign-up bonus of 100% on any deposit up to $600.

The next step is to seek out the satellites that fit your bankroll and begin winning your way into the events of your choice and extra tournament dollars to boot. As a reminder, here is the list of events in the FTOPS XII series:
