Everest E-Report: Win Seats to Poker Sports Challenge

Everest Poker regularly offers opportunities for its players to win seats into some of the most prestigious live poker tournaments in the world, such as the World Series of Poker. And to throw something very unique into the mix, the online poker site is now offering chances to win entries to the 24-Hour Poker Sports Challenge in Germany.

Why is this different? It is not only a poker tournament, but a series of athletic competitions as well. The 24-Hour Poker Sports Challenge will consists of teams of poker players competing in a poker tournament and having the offer to play in various athletic contests in order to win extra poker chips. In fact, if a player has been eliminated and wins chips in a sports challenge, that player can reenter the tournament and continue play. Combining the team poker concept, which is quickly gaining popularity in the live poker world, with sports will test the true all-around athletic abilities of the players in this event.

The 24-Hour Poker Sports Challenge is being hosted by Everest Poker, and those who win their seats via Everest will be competing against the winners from five Dutch and Flemish poker clubs. All will be putting their best poker skills and all around sports abilities to the test to win the ultimate prize - a $13,000 prize package to the 2009 World Series of Poker main event in Las Vegas. The runner-up will receive a $3,500 WSOP prize package to enter a side event during the summer series, and other awards will be announced at a later date.

Scheduled for May 29-30, the 24-Hour Poker Sports Challenge will be held in Aachen, Germany at the Forsthaus Schontal Hotel and Spa, the perfect place to relax after the physically and mentally challenging event. Only Dutch and Flemish players are eligible to qualify for seats to this ultimate poker and sporting event.

The only way to qualify for the event is online at Everest Poker. There will be three freerolls held over the coming weeks. Each $100 24-Hour Poker Sports Challenge Freeroll will qualify four players, and all 12 winners will be rewarded with complimentary travel and accommodations to the May 29-30 event in Germany. The freerolls will all take place at 19:00 GMT on the following dates:

Sunday, April 26
Sunday, May 3
Sunday, May 10

Keep in mind that these are freeroll events, so everyone attending the Germany event on behalf of Everest Poker will do so at absolutely no cost to them.
