Each Full Tilt Online Poker Series (FTOPS) presents the Satellite Challenge, which gives bonus tournament dollars to players for winning more than one satellite into an event. But with FTOPS XII right around the corner, there are even more challenges facing players. More contests translate into more ways for players to walk away winners before even entering an FTOPS tournament!

With the next installment of FTOPS only days away, as May 6 kicks off the series of 25 events, it is time to get into the online poker groove and begin qualifying for the events of your choice. In the process, by playing the Satellite Challenge and winning as many qualifiers as possible for each event, extra tournament dollars are yours to spend on any tournament on Full Tilt Poker at any time.

Once the events begin, whether you choose to play the FTOPS or MiniFTOPS events, the latter offering buy-ins of one-tenth the price, there are some challenges awaiting players. Besides winning the events, Full Tilt Poker has presented some other incentives and goals for which to strive.

First, the FTOPS Hold’em Challenge asks players to complete at least three of the following tasks in a single no-limit hold’em event with at least five players dealt cards in the hand: Win a pot worth at least 20 big blinds with A-A or K-K, bluff with ace high or less on the river to win a pot, win 30 hands without a showdown, steal the same player’s big blind three times, or reraise all-in preflop with a pocket pair. By completing at least three tasks, you will be in contention to win entries into a $10,000 Hold’em Challenge Freeroll (or the $1,000 Freeroll for MiniFTOPS players).

Second, the FTOPS Survivor Challenge consists of trying to make it to Level 10 in as many FTOPS or MiniFTOPS events as possible. Two events will garner one freeroll entry, three events wins an entry into the second freeroll, and so on. It is just that simple.

Third, the FTOPS Double Up Challenge asks players to double their starting stacks in as many events as possible. Simply by taking a 10K starting stack and turning it into 20K wins the challenge. Rebuy and heads-up events are excluded from this challenge.

Fourth, the FTOPS Zero to Hero Challenge consists of turning a small buy-in into a big win, starting with a super satellite to win entry into an FTOPS satellite, translating that into an entry into an FTOPS event. By then cashing in the event, a $50 bonus is yours. On top of that, making a final table through this challenge equals a $500 bonus, and winning the tournament comes with an extra $5,000 in addition to your prize money. MiniFTOPS events, and FTOPS Events 7 and 23 are excluded from this challenge.

Lastly, there is the FTOPS Million Dollar Challenge. Any player who makes the money in at least 17 FTOPS events wins a $1 million grand prize. Let’s say that again for emphasis - $1 million is on the line for any player who can cash in at least 17 events! And anyone who cashes in at least 17 MiniFTOPS events will win $100,000. That’s $100K!

In order to participate in the challenges, there is one step to take. Go to the promotions section of your cashier page and click the FTOPS Challenges link. Register to participate in the challenges, and Full Tilt Poker will track your progress and inform you when you complete each task.

But before doing that, you must be a player on Full Tilt Poker! Take a moment to download Full Tilt Poker and set up your real money account, remembering to use the bonus code “POKERWORKS” to qualify for an extra sign-up bonus of 100% on any deposit up to $600.

Second, take a look at the satellites, challenges, and FTOPS tournaments to make your plan. There is over $18 million in guarantees alone waiting for online players around the world, and everyone could use a piece of that in their bankrolls.

Good luck at the tables and in the FTOPS Challenges!
