Never Miss a Tournament with SportsBook Alerts

Never Miss a Tournament with SportsBook AlertsThere are plenty of online poker rooms out there that feature fantastic tournaments filled with lots of money.  However, despite putting in all of the work to stage these great tourneys, many rooms don’t have a good system in place for notifying their players about the tournaments.  These rooms could definitely benefit from doing what SportsBook Poker does to notify its players of huge tourneys.

In fact, SportsBook offers one of the best ways available to alert players about big tournaments at their room with an “Announcement” box.  This announcement box pops up every time a major tourney is about to take place at SportsBook.  The box contains information such as the name of the tournament, the amount of prize money available in the tourney, and how long one has to register before the tournament begins.

This especially comes in handy for new members who may not be aware of the $100,000 Guaranteed that SportsBook runs every Sunday or the $250,000 Guaranteed that happens at least once every month.  By using these alerts, SportsBook ensures that players won’t be left out of the big tournaments such as the weekly $100k Guaranteed or the $250k Guaranteed.

The great thing about the Announcements box is that it pops up automatically too so you don’t have to worry about having to activate it yourself.  All you need to do is be a member of SportsBook Poker and be logged in to have this alerts box available.  To become a member of SportsBook, just download the room through PokerWorks and you’ll also receive the special 100% deposit bonus up to $1,000 this way.

Getting back to the SportsBook tournament alerts, you won’t be bothered by the announcements either since they only appear in a small box that pops up in the lower right-hand corner of the computer screen.  Plus you have to be logged in for the alerts to appear so you won’t be interrupted by them when you’re not playing poker.

Another thing SportsBook does to notify players of big tournaments, as well as major events, is provide news when a player logs into their account.  This news normally covers all of the upcoming big tourneys that will be happening, what major promotions are currently running, and anything else that would be of interest to members.

By looking at the latest news, one can see that “BunnyFeet” earned $50,000 for winning the most recent $250,000 Guaranteed, SportsBook still has almost 60 WSOP seats to give away to players, and Gold Chips can earn players free entry into poker freerolls as well as poker satellites.

Speaking of Gold Chips, these are very easy to earn because all a player has to do is participate in ring games and tournaments at SportsBook Poker in order to get these since they’re dealt out randomly in players’ hole cards.  Gold Chips will allow you to get many more things for free at SportsBook too and all you have to do to cash in is sign up and play!

News flash California Supreme Court Ruling on Pooled Tips California Supreme Court ruled this week on tipping at a card room. Louie Hung Kwei Lu sued Hawaiian Gardens card room because his tips as a dealer were pooled and distributed to employees equally, he felt tips given to a particular person should stay with that person. He lost.  The law prohibits employees from suing their employers over the matter, despite the fact that the practice of pooling tips is frowned upon by California law, but Lu may be able to sue for theft if he chooses.
