Bodog Poker Open III is a Huge Success Those who know of Bodog Poker have no doubt heard of the Bodog Poker Open III.  It is one of the biggest tournament series in online poker today and features hundreds of thousands of dollars in prize money.  Many people have earned small fortunes by playing in the past Bodog events and this one was certainly no different.

This year’s Bodog Poker Open featured a unique structure in which the buy-ins were put into three classes so people of all bankrolls could compete in the BPO III.  The three classes were the Championship Series, the Mid-Stakes Series, and the Mini-Bounty Series.

The Championship Series was the biggest one in the Bodog Poker Open III since players here paid the highest buy-ins to create the largest prize pools.  Championship Series play kicked off with “ender” winning the $50 + $5 buy-in tournament and the $10,436 first place prize.  “fyoudubby” was the next person with a 5-digit cash after winning $10,275 in event #3 while “FLUSH634” earned $10,500 for winning event #5.

But the biggest winner of all in the BPO III was “biffsworld” who won $40,282 after taking first in the $470 + $30 Main Event of the Championship Series.  It was not an easy task for biffsworld since the field included notable Bodog pros such as David Williams, Jean-Robert Bellande, Justin Bonomo, and Evelyn Ng.  However, biffsworld was able to navigate through this extremely tough tournament and take the $40k prize.  Here are the top 9 finishers in the Championship Series:

1. biffsworld - $40,283
2. ShuMoneyTonite - $26,989
3. Mr Walcott - $17,885
4. Seanpoker1 - $12,890
5. Sebby10 - $9,346
6. ImTheJackal - $7,251
7. RJules12 - $5,640
8. Mazelucky - $4,028
9. SKeeeter - $2,739

The Mid-Stakes Series also allowed people to play for big prize money even though the buy-ins were cheaper.  “Banshee420” started the Mid-Stakes Series off right by winning the $100 + $9 event and earning the $6,454 top prize.  And “scareface0928” was the biggest winner in the Mid-Stakes Series after taking first in the Main Event and $8,951 in prize money.

The last series was the Mini-Bounty and this one featured direct buy-ins as low as $10 + $1.  The $10 + $1 buy-in happened to be the first tournament of the Mini-Bounty Series and this was won by “Inseyet” who cashed for $2,360.  “winjack” was the champion of the $46 + $4 Mini-Bounty Main Event and earned $3,750 after winning.
