Everest E-Report: Special WSOP Packages for Japanese PlayersEverest Poker has a way of knowing what their players want. This time, they have listened to their Japan-based players and heard the message that they want opportunities to fly to Las Vegas this summer and compete in the 2009 World Series of Poker . Thus, the WSOP Japan Madness promotion has begun!

All poker players living in Japan are invited to play in the WSOP Steps program through special incentives and freerolls. The tournaments catering to Japanese players will award step tokens that put players ever closer to a $3,500 WSOP prize package, which can be won for exactly $0 in financial investment. Time and skills are the only tools necessary.

The first opportunity to qualify - with no cash required - is through WSOP Madness Step 1 Freerolls scheduled to run through June 4. The top 20 finishers every Thursday will win a WSOP Step 1 token to go directly to the first step of the WSOP qualifier program.

Next up are the $3 opportunities. For less than the price of a cup of sake, players can take seats at the WSOP Madness Step Jumpers tournaments every Friday and Saturday through June 5. Each event will award one WSOP Step 3 token (worth $40) for every 15 players in the tournament. And all who win their Step 3 tokens will qualify to win one of 45 seats being awarded to the All-Japan WSOP Madness Finale on June 6. The top five players in each Step Jumper qualifier will receive that entry into the Finale, and those coveted seats are worth $503.

The All-Japan WSOP Madness Finale is the ultimate chance to win the $3,500 prize package to the WSOP, which includes all expenses to fly to Las Vegas and accommodations while there, as well as the seat into the June 29 $1,500 No-Limit Hold’em Event, number 54 on the World Series of Poker schedule and one of the last opportunities to win a bracelet before the main event starts on July 3.

All that is required to take part in the promotion is a Japanese residence and an Everest Poker account, and you could be on your way to the 40th Annual WSOP!

To get started, download Everest Poker now and make your initial deposit. When doing so, use bonus code “PNEWS300” to receive a $1 bonus for every 14.28 points earned through site play, or type in “PNEWS500” for a $500 bonus that comes your way by earning 5,000 points in 30 days. Also, new players are qualified to enter weekly $500 cash freerolls every Saturday through the end of 2009. Any way you look at it, extra cash is up for grabs!

Once a member of Everest Poker, look for the WSOP tab in the Everest Poker lobby to find the Japanese qualifiers. A trip to Las Vegas for the biggest series of tournaments of the year is only a few steps away.
