The Aruba Poker Classic 2009 Kicks off October 3rd

The time is fast approaching for one of the most popular fall events – The Aruba Classic.
And just what makes poker players from around the world want to attend this fabulous event? Some of the biggest prize pools and hot poker action is one reason, but location – location – location is the main reason!

Once again this event lives up to its name and is being held in the breathtaking Caribbean on the island paradise of Aruba. Taking place from October 3rd through the 10th, the Aruba Classic 2009 will once again be held at the beautiful Radisson Resort and Casino. With crystal blue water views and a few steps to the white sugar sand beaches, the Radisson offers poker players the best of both worlds; world class amenities and the best view in the world as a backdrop while battling on the green felt.
 
This classic yearly event is in its eighth season and promises to be bigger and better than ever when it kicks off October 3rd with a welcoming banquet and plenty of satellite action.  Not only will the satellites feature daily Sit n’ Gos, but higher buy-ins are available on request. All events will be held in the ballroom area, where the biggest names in poker will take their seats on October 5th – 10th as they compete in the $5,000+500 Championship event.

The schedule of events for the 2009 Aruba Poker Classic is as follows.

Saturday, October 3rd:
Events at 3 p.m.:
•     Continuous Single Table Satellites for the $500+40 Event.
•     $650 Single Table Satellites for Poker Championship.
•     $120 Cash Sit n’ Gos with - Three positions paid.
•    $500+40 No-Limit Hold’em Poker Tournament.
Events at 7 p.m.:
•    Tournament break and Welcome Banquet in the Radisson Pool Area.

Sunday, October 4th:
Events at 12 p.m. (Noon):
•    $120 Continuous Single Table Satellites for today’s $500+40 Event, top two spots pay.
•    $120 Cash Sit n’ Gos with three spots paid.
•    $650 Single Table Satellites for Poker Championship
Events at 7 p.m.:
•    $500+40 No-Limit Hold’em Poker Tournament

Monday, October 5th:
Events at Noon:
•    $5000 +500 Aruba Poker Classic Championship Event - Day 1a.
•    $120 Cash Sit n’ Gos paying three places.
•    $120 Continuous Single Table Satellites for the $500+40 Event, top two positions pay.
•    $650 Single Table Satellites for Poker Championship

Events at 7 p.m.:
•    $500+40 No-Limit Texas Hold’em Poker Tournament

Tuesday, October 6th:
Events at Noon:
•    $5000 +500 Aruba Poker Classic Championship Event - Day 1b
•    $440 Continuous Single Table Satellites for Wednesday’s $2000 + 100 event

Events at 2 p.m.:
•    $120 Continuous Single Table Satellites for today’s $500+40 Event, top two spots pay.
•    $120 Cash Sit n’ Gos, top three spots paid.

Events at 7 p.m.:
•    $500+40 No-Limit Texas Hold’em Poker Tournament

Wednesday, October 7th:
•    11 a.m. - $440 Continuous Single Table Satellites for Wednesday’s $2000 + 100 event
•    Noon - $5000 +500 Aruba Poker Classic Championship Event - Day 2
•    1 p.m. - $120 Continuous Single Table Satellites for the 7 p.m. $500+40 Event, top two spots pay.
•    1 p.m. - $120 Cash Sit n’ Gos with three positions paid.
•    3 p.m. - $2000+100 2 Day No Limit Texas Hold’em Tournament – Day 1
•    7 p.m. - $500+40 No Limit Texas Hold’em Poker Tournament

Thursday, October 8th:
•    11 a.m. - 225 Continuous Single Table Satellites for the $1000+60 Event at 3 p.m., top two spots pay.
Events at Noon:
•    $5000 +500 Aruba Poker Classic Championship Event – Day 3
•    $120 Cash Sit n’ Gos with Three spots paid.
Events at 3 p.m.:
•    $1000+60 No Limit Texas Hold’em Poker Tournament
•    $2000+100 2 Day No Limit Texas Hold’em Tournament – Day 2

Events at 7 p.m.: A Local Charity Event: To Be Announced

Friday, October 9th:
Events at 11 a.m.:
•    $120 Continuous Single Table Satellites for the 7 p.m.  $500+40 Event, top 2 finishers pay.
•    $120 Cash Sit n’ Gos with the three top finishers paid.
Remaining Events:
•    Noon -  $5000 +500 Aruba Poker Classic Championship Event – Day 4
•    2 p.m. - $2000+100 No Limit 6 Handed Texas Hold’em Tournament
•    3 p.m. - $500+40 No Limit Texas Hold’em Poker Tournament

Saturday, October 10th at 12:00 p.m. (Noon):

•    $5000+500 Aruba Poker Classic Championship Final Table held in the Radisson Pool Area.

A lavish Awards Banquet will follow the completion of the championship event where the new Aruba Classic Champ will be crowned for 2009.
