It will soon be that time again, time for the Ladbrokes Poker Irish Poker Festival! Taking place from October 2nd through October 4th, this is the biggest Irish Poker Festival yet with a €250,000 Guaranteed Main Event!

The Ladbrokes Poker Irish Poker Festival will once again be taking place at the Irish National Events Center (INEC) in Killarney, County Kerry, Ireland. Considered the best poker venue in Europe, the INEC is located amidst a lively hotel and leisure complex near the famous Thai Angsana Spa. As a special treat, all Ladbrokes Poker online package winners will be awarded accommodations at the beautiful Gleneagle Hotel, located adjacent to the INEC. Killarney is known for its Irish hospitality and will offer those who attend the festival plenty of nightlife, complete with Irish music - in addition to the highlight of playing poker!

During the 2008 Irish Poker Festival, a European record of 832 players battled it out in the Main Event and at the end of the 3-day excitement, local player Jimmy McSweeney reigned victorious and took home the €100,000 first prize! This year it could be your turn - to walk away as this year’s winner!

The 2009 three-day festival will offer a €550 Main Event once again which boasts a guaranteed prize pool of €250,000! Entrants into this fabulous event will begin with 15,000 chip stacks and one-hour blinds, giving players plenty of ‘play time’ at each level. Plus just by playing in the event, players will earn European ranking points.

The Festival will also feature two side tournaments, including a two-day €270+30 buy-in tournament running on Saturday, October 3rd with 40 minute blinds and a 10,000 chip starting stack. Then on Sunday, October 4th, the €150+20 buy-in tournament takes place. With 25 minute blind levels and an 8,000 chip starting stack, this event will be fast and furious!

Win your way to Ireland and Ladbrokes Poker will award you with a €950 prize package that will include the €550 buy in to the Main Event and three nights of bed and breakfast at the Gleneagle hotel. Plus players will have exclusive access to the Ladbrokes hospitality facilities that include a game room with pool and darts, in case you need a break in between the hot poker action and excitement!

Qualify online by participating in the Daily Satellites running Monday through Saturday on Ladbrokes Poker. You will find satellite qualifiers running throughout the day for a buy-in of only €3 + 0.30. The Daily Finals run Monday through Saturday at 8:30 GMT for a buy-in of €20 + 2 and the Weekly Finals take place on Sundays at 8:30GMT for a buy-in of €100 +10. Players will have plenty of time to win their Irish Festival seat because the weekly finals will run until September 27th!
