2009-2010 WSOP Circuit Schedule Released

With the 2009 World Series of Poker wrapping up in Vegas, the timing couldn’t be better to release the latest WSOP Circuit schedule of events to take players through the remainder of 2009 and into 2010. As many players head away from the Rio in Las Vegas for a short post-WSOP break, they can take the time to relax while planning their tournament circuit schedules around the United States for the 2009-2010 series.

The tour will begin on October 16, 2009, at the Horseshoe Hammond casino in the Chicago area, continuing on through Southern Indiana, Lake Tahoe, Atlantic City, Tunica, Council Bluffs, San Diego, St. Louis, Las Vegas, and New Orleans. The St. Louis stop is a new one to the Circuit regulars, as the Harrah’s casino property there only recently came aboard for the new year. With its wrap in New Orleans in May of 2010, the season will end just in time for the 2010 WSOP in Las Vegas.

The eleven stops included in the new season offer reasonable buy-ins for the everyday player who can’t afford some of the major tours that boast of $10K or higher entries. With the vast majority of the events scheduled in the Midwest, it also gives players options at smaller casinos outside of major coastal cities or Las Vegas that other tours don’t offer.

Harrah’s Entertainment CMO commented, “WSOP Circuit Events are a great way to welcome new guests to Harrah’s properties around the country. Whether you are a new player or a casino regular, you will find a great playing experience.”

Added WSOP President and Commissioner Jeffrey Pollack, “World Series of Poker Circuit Events are a great way to gain live tournament experience, get a feel for what the World Series of Poker is all about and have a lot of fun. Every stop on the WSOP Circuit has a local flair and provides a best in class poker-playing experience.”

The schedule is as follows:

 October 16 - 25, 2009
   Horseshoe Hammond (Chicago)
 March 3 - 14, 2010   Caesars Atlantic City
February 18 - March 2, 2010   Horseshoe Council Bluffs (Iowa)
