Have you ever had dreams of being a movie star? If you are a poker player, how would you like to star in the next big poker movie to hit the big screen? All of this and more is waiting for you when you play in the 2009 Asian Poker Tour in Macau!

The Asian Poker Tour (APT) will stop in Asia’s premier gambling hot spot, Macau for a 12 day run starting on August 12th 2009. Taking place at the luxurious Galaxy StarWorld Hotel and Casino, the Main Event boasts a hefty $4,300 buy-in, which guarantees the prize pool will be mammoth! Aside from the Main Event finale, the APT Macau will also feature the largest schedule of side events to ever grace Asia! The side events will include high-limit games and sit-and-go tournaments which will span the whole 12 day event.

And if you are attending this huge event, not only could you win piles of cash – but you could find yourself starring in “The Poker King” which is an upcoming Chinese poker movie! Filming will take place throughout the 12 day APT Macau event with scenes to be used in the movie. The story revolves around two bitter poker rivals who are butting heads to become the next World Poker Champion. Set in the exciting world of tournament poker, the movie will naturally require hundreds of movie ‘extras’ almost guaranteeing that the participants at the APT Macau will be included in the final cut!

Directed by the famous Chinese directors Chan Hing-Kai and Janet Chun, the movie will feature an all star line up of Chinese actors and pop-stars including the ‘Orient Express’ himself – Johnny Chan.

Twice crowned World Series Of Poker champion Johnny Chan will return to next month’s APT Macau event after enjoying his first trip to the event last year. Not only will Chan be taking a seat in the APT Macau Main Event, but is set to take a major part in the filming of the ‘Poker King’ which tells the story of poker in Asia.

AsianLogic Limited, a prominent online and land-based gaming company announced that 10 time WSOP bracelet winner Chan will also be joined at the APT Macau by their sponsored team of poker players. This team known as ‘The Poker Pack’ includes David ‘Chino’ Rheem, JC Tran, Kwang Soo Lee, Nam Le, Steve Sung and Quinn Do. With over $24 million in live tournament winnings, this amazing team deserves their title as ‘poker ambassadors’ for the APT.

To join this all-star line-up at the APT Macau, several poker sites are still running satellites to this event, where you could win your seat and your starring movie role for just a few dollars!
Check out the APT Macau satellites at:

Titan Poker – Macau Super Satellites run every Sunday and award an APT Macau prize package worth $8,000 which includes; Main Event buy-in, hotel accommodations and $2,330 for flights and spending money. The final Titan Poker APT Macau super satellite will take place on August 2nd and there are also many cheap qualifier events running now starting at just $4+0.40!

Bodog Poker – Is hosting APT Macau FreeRoll tournaments that will take place four times a day. The top 25 finishers in each qualifier will then advance the marquee event, where the top prize is an $8,000 package! These satellites run at 9am, 3pm, 9pm and 3am ET until July 27th.

Party Poker - APT Sub Qualifiers start at a buy-in of only $3 at 15:40, 19:10 and 22:40 ET Daily, awarding one seat into the $80 Satellite Qualifier for every $80 in the prize pool.
