Team Cake – Get Ready For The English Poker Open

There’s an old saying, “Life is short, eat dessert first!”  Truer words were never spoken and Cake Poker is offering you a big slice of dessert with a trip to England in Europe’s newest, most highly anticipated poker tournament, the English Poker Open.  The English Poker Open runs September 15th-17th 2009 and Dusk Till Dawn hosts the event.

The English Poker Open Main Event - $5,300 No Limit Holdem – comes with a guaranteed prize pool of $1,000,000 with a player cap of 270.  Along with the Main Event poker players will find mega side action that includes Event 2 which is £560 and Event 3 £280 both of which are No Limit Holdem.

There will be plenty of pros there like Phil Hellmuth who has already confirmed his seat for the main event.  Along with the poker action, you’ll find plenty of other things to do in Nottingham—but who attends a poker tournament with the thought of doing other things?

There are satellites running to August 30th for as little as $4 (including step satellites, multi-table satellites), or you can buy in to the final qualifier, for a $7,000 English Poker Open prize package.  Make Team Cake and your $7,000 prize package includes:

•    $5,000 + $300 USD English Poker Open  buy-in to the Main Event.
•    $1,700 USD to cover travel expenses – the funds are placed in your Cake Poker Account.
