Full Tilt Fever: Gearing Up for September MiniFTOPS

The Full Tilt Online Poker Series (FTOPS) just wrapped its 13th installment and is already preparing for its sister series, MiniFTOPS. While FTOPS boasted of more than $18.5 million in prize money, the upcoming series boasts of only $3 million in guarantees. But MiniFTOPS is for the masses - those who can’t afford hundreds of dollars in buy-ins - as it offers the same exact FTOPS tournaments that just took place but at 1/10th of the cost.

Putting the $18.5 million out of one’s mind, it’s easy to see the appeal in events that collectively offer more than $3 million in prize money. Buy-ins will range from $10 to $50 in most cases, though there is a $250 buy-in event thrown in toward the end of the series. The majority of poker players have bankrolls that appreciate the MiniFTOPS opportunities, and the excitement of playing in major Full Tilt tournaments will undoubtedly bring tens of thousands of players to the virtual felt.

The 25 events will begin on September 9 with structures that will allow for deep play and numerous opportunities to score. Players can win their way into the tournaments for as little as $.50 or 50 Full Tilt Points, and the satellites are running now in preparation for the start of the MiniFTOPS.
