The PokerNews Cup is BIG News

It started in Melbourne, Australia at the prestigious Crown Casino on October 21st, 2007.  The Cup ran for nine days with six events and was named The PokerNews Cup Australia—the Cup has branched into other locales and each is named for the area it is held in—with over 1500 contestants from 22 countries around the globe.  The inaugural PokerNews Cup saw Jeff Lisandro, Mark Vos, and Tony G battling it out to claim the title but local player Dory Zayneh walked away with the honors and the $300,000 first prize in the $3,000 PokerNews Cup Australia Main Event.

PokerWorks listed many freerolls for the PokerNews Cup Australia that were held at extremely generous online poker sites that provided every opportunity for you to get there in satellites and freerolls, such as Full Tilt Poker, TonyG Poker, Carbon Poker, Party Poker, Poker770, Titan Poker, and CD Poker.  Unfortunately the qualification period is over for those sites.  All except for one—there is one shot left—and you have to hurry.  It’s at Full Tilt Poker, download, register a new account, make a minimum deposit and earn 200 Full Tilt Poker Points from August 16th(00:00 EDT) – August 29th (23:59 EDT).  This freeroll gives you accommodations, main event entry, an invite to the official player party, cash for travel, and is valued at $5,000.  Start now!  And be sure to check Full Tilt Poker’s Terms and Conditions.

If you’ve missed all the freerolls and satellites, we're sorry, but if your heart is set on seeing Australia and playing poker in this fantastic tournament series, you can enter directly online by registering at www.crownpoker.com.au.

You can also email cup“@”pokernews.com (please remove the quotes). Packages start at USD $3,500 and include Main Event entry, accommodations at the Crown Promenade Hotel, a player pack, and entry to the official Player party.
