Bodog Poker Satellites running for Lido Dutch Open

Once known as the original Sin City, Amsterdam is now home to one of the world’s most prestigious poker tournaments in the Lido Dutch International Open.  And if you need evidence to prove that the Lido Dutch International Open is one of the biggest live tournaments in the world, then consider how last year’s Main Event offered a huge €3,960,300 prize pool (well over $5 million).

The prize pool was so big last year that it drew some of poker’s biggest names including Freddy Deeb, Surinder Sunar, Rolf Slotboom, Sorel Mizzi, and Danny Ryan.  The winner of the 2008 Lido Dutch International Open was Danish player Jan Sorenson who beat out 335 other players to claim the €623,000 first place prize (around $890,000).  With the growth of this event, many are expecting the prize money to be bigger than ever!

All you have to do to have the opportunity to compete for this huge prize pool is sign up for Bodog Poker using the POKERWORKS bonus code.  Not only will you get the 110% deposit bonus up to $500, but you will also have the opportunity to win a $12,000 Lido Dutch International Open prize package.  The prize packages for this event include the €6,200 Main Event buy-in (around $8,800) as well as $3,200 for travel and hotel expenses.  In addition to the prize package, you’ll also receive cool Team Bodog gear and have articles written about your progress so everyone can see how you are doing.

To win these prize packages, you just need to play in the poker satellites and qualifiers that are currently running at Bodog.  The satellite and qualifier buy-ins suit every single bankroll too since they range from as little as $1 to $270.  To find what you’re looking for, just go into the Live Events tab in the Bodog Poker lobby and check out their list of qualifiers.  All of the information you need is listed, so sign up and pick the tourney that fits your bankroll!

As mentioned before, you’ll find Cheap Seats satellites which cost just $1 to enter in addition to qualifiers that only require 100 Poker Points to enter.  There are also more expensive poker satellites which will advance you further down the line in your quest for a $12k prize package.  Of course you can always skip all of the smaller satellites and qualifiers, and just buy directly into the Bodog Flight Club Semifinal tournament for $270.  This is where the $12,000 Lido Dutch International Open packages are given out.

Getting back to the actual tournament, the Lido Dutch International Open is held at one of Amsterdam’s finest locations in Holland Casino Amsterdam.  This site is definitely one of Holland’s most luxurious hotels and it offers all of the entertainment aspects that a poker player could hope for.  Aside from Holland Casino Amsterdam, the city of Amsterdam itself is quite a draw as well.  There is tons of stuff to do in the city (as indicated by the Sin City moniker), and poker players always enjoy Amsterdam’s atmosphere just as much as the Lido Dutch International Open.
