SUPER POKER SUNDAY 9/13 - Light Day Finds emitzon Top Winner on Full Tilt

It was already supposed to be a light day of tournaments everywhere but PokerStars, where the World Championship of Online Poker (WCOOP) was garnering the attention of much of the online poker community. But strangely, some of the other sites were missing tournaments instead of taking advantage of non-WCOOP players’ availability. The weekly $200K Guarantee on UltimateBet seemed to be missing from the list of tournaments, as was the $22 Double Deuce on Full Tilt. Nevertheless, Full Tilt offered the top prize of the week in the Sunday majors, and emitzon took down the $136K in the $750K Guarantee to prove it. Let’s look at all of the results:

PokerStars

Sunday 1/4 Million
A small investment can go a long way, especially in this ever-popular PokerStars Sunday tournament. For only $10+1, players are offered a $250K guarantee, and it always brings tens of thousands of players to the tables. This week, there were 27,554 of them, boosting the prize pool to $275,540 and offering payouts for the last 4,500 players in the tournament. And when all was said and done, fefosport defeated jar jagr68 for the weekly title and nearly $25K in prize money.

Daily Eighty Grand Sunday Special
A new addition to this Sunday poker report, it deserves some recognition as one of the major guarantees on the Sunday roster. The Daily Eighty Grand hosts a special Sunday edition each week with a massive $200K guarantee for only a $50+5 buy-in, and the guarantee is almost always exceeded. This week was no different, as the 4,906-player field pushed the prize pool up to $245,300. The final 720 players were paid, and it was DarlieTilde who beat fisheater111 in heads-up play to win more than $31K in prize money.

The Sunday Brawl

Not only were the final 234 players paid, but all players could collect the $40 bounties up for grabs. In the end, though, the final table consisted of well-known player Adam “Roothlus” Levy, though, he didn’t make it to the final showdown.
