Full Tilt Fever: MiniFTOPS a Success and noitall611 is Main Event Champ

The MiniFTOPS events have quickly become a favorite of hordes of online poker players. Not only is it an ideal tournament series for those who cannot afford the higher buy-ins of the Full Tilt Online Poker Series, but it offers fantastic guarantees and massive fields for relatively low buy-ins - 1/10th of the cost of the FTOPS. In the most recent installment of the series, there were more than $3 million in guarantees up for grabs, and hundreds of thousands of poker players turned out for the opportunity to cash in.

The 25 events began on September 9 and wrapped up on September 20, and all tournaments were hosted by a Full Tilt Pro. And many members of the team showed up to participate in addition to hosts like Gavin Smith, Eli Elezra, Marco Traniello, Perry Friedman, and Chau Giang. When it was over, 25 players walked away with MiniFTOPS titles and commemorative limited-edition jackets and jerseys.

When the series was near its end, Event 24 showed what the incredible MiniFTOPS was all about with its $12 + $1 buy-in. It attracted a whopping 19,196 players to create a prize pool of more than $230,000. But it was the NLHE Main Event that brought 14,428 players to the felt with its $50 + $5 buy-in and $500K guarantee. The resulting prize pool was set at $721,400, and in the end, it was noitall611 and McFugu who came to a financial agreement that allowed each of them to take home around $90K, though noitall611 walked away with the coveted MiniFTOPS Main Event title.

Upon its conclusion, though, dcoop4506 headed up the MiniFTOPS leaderboard with 433 points, which garnered that player a special prize package. dcoop4506 received a complimentary entry ticket to each tournament in the next FTOPS XIV series, with the exclusion of the two-day event. The total package was worth $7,500, and that player will soon have the chance to play in one of the most exciting tournament series of the year.
